APC Chieftain and Executive Director Alpha 3D, Ondo State, Prince Biyi Poroye, has commended the Commissioner representing Ondo State at the National Population Commission, Diran Iyantan for his proactive leadership and the method of enlightening the citizenry about the forthcoming census exercise.
The Prince also applauded the doggedness and hardworking spirit of the Ondo State Director of the Commission, Mr. Oluyemi Falusi.
Poroye made this commendations in Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, having been intimated with the modern training methods deployed by the Honourable Commissioner representing Ondo State at the ongoing state facilitators’ and other officers’ trainings.
National Population Commission has recently commenced the training of both staff and Ad-hoc staff in different segments ahead of 2023 census.
Ahead of the 2023 census, the National Population Commission (NPC) is holding nationwide training for the state facilitators and other officers cross the country.
Prince Poroye hailed the proactive and pragmatic leadership of Mr Iyantan, over the ways and manners of enlightening the citizenry to ensure credible 2023 census in the state.
Poroye said, “following the ways and manners of enlightening the citizenry about the upcoming census programme, we are convinced and optimistic that NPC – Ondo State would conduct a credible and acceptable census in 2023 exercise which will provide accurate demographic data for sustainable national planning and development in Nigeria”.
“According to the NPC Commissioner representing Ondo State, Hon. Diran Iyantan in his recent address at the programme’s flag-off ceremony in Akure, he said, “Nigerians would need not to travel to their respective villages or home states before they could be counted, as the questionnaires and electronic gadgets are such that would capture every detail of an individual without necessarily traveling away from your place of residence”.
“The essence of the ongoing training is to enable the trainees have good understanding of all the basic concepts before the commencement of the census proper. The training will present a good opportunity for participants to grow their knowledge base and improve their job skills while carrying out the exercise.” Iyantan said.
The NPC Director in Ondo State, Mr. Oluyemi Falusi, maintained that deliberations at the training workshop would also impact positively in terms of preparations and execution of the 2023 Population and Housing Census exercise.
