2023: I stand by my words, you are both JJC, Akinyelure tells Ex-PDP Chairman, Adedipe
The Senator representing Ondo Central Senatorial District, Ayo Akinyelure has insisted that he has no regret over his comments of describing former PDP chairman in Ondo state, Clement Faboyede and a legal luminary, Ifedayo Adedipe as Johnny just Come, JJC on legislative matters.
Faboyede and Adedipe are contesting to get the Senatorial ticket from Akinyelure ahead of the PDP primary in May.

Akinyelure, a serving Senator had on Wednesday described the duo as JJC, but was condemned by other aspirants for making such comments.
Speaking through his Media aide Charles Akinwon, Akinyelure said his experience in the National Assembly can not be swept away and will be an advantage for him to attain principal position if elected to return to the national Assembly.
Akinyelure said: “In as much as the Senator holds the two gentlemen in highest esteem, there is no regret, from the part of the Senator, to have refered to the duo as JJC because any new entrant to National Assembly without any previous experience in any State House of Assembly or in the Lower or Upper chamber is commonly referred to as JJC in Legislative palace of NASS.
“The duo are just preparing for entrance examination to enter form one in a secondary school of National Assembly though they are eminently qualified to be admitted to the college but can’t possess the legislative experience of the Senator who is seeking promotion to Form 5 as a ranking Senator who will be eminently qualified to contest for Princpal position in the 10th Assembly.
“Therefore, the duo should not take offense from the Senator’s comment because it is a statement of fact that none of them has gained any legislative experience before. The Senator’s comment that they are JJC aspirants for Senate position still remains.”
