Report says a lawmaker, representing Akure south Constituency 1, Simeon Borokini, was assaulted by the people of his Constituency for allegedly failing to perform.
It was gathered that Borokini went out to campaign at Idi agba tuntun in ward 5 area of the state capital but was attacked and beaten up alongside his campaign team.
An Eye witness,who told germanereporters said the vehicle that the serving lawmaker came with was snatched but he was rescued out of the scene by his friends.
Borokini is the son of Akure Anglican Bishop seeking re election into the office.

The attention of the Lawmaker Representing Akure South Constiteuncy 1, Hon Simeon Toluwani Borokini has been drawn to a fictitious news story being circulated by an online news medium that the Lawmaker was embarrassed at a rally in Idi Agba Tuntun and a branded campaign vehicle belonging to the Lawmaker was snatched.
Setting the record straight, The Lawmaker was at no point at Idi Agba Tuntun today not to have imagined he was being beaten or molested by hoodlums. The only political trip he made was was a visitation tour alongside the joint campaign team set up by the All Progressives Congress for all the candidates of the Party.
