A lawmaker representing Idanre/ Ifedore federal constituency of Ondo state, Tajudeen Adefisoye has apologised to members of his constituency and his supporters “who took an offense against us following my movement from SDP to APC”.

In a statement posted on his Facebook page, the Lawmaker also congratulated the Festus Akingbaso of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP over his victory in the last national assembly election.

Akingbaso had scored 24,263 to defeat incumbent APC’s Adefisoye, who polled 20,064 to come second.

In the statement, Adefisoye said, “Congratulations to Hon. Festus Akingbaso (Fessywest) the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.

“Between 2019 and now, the trajectory of Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency has changed. We have registered a bold presence in the comity of decent and respected Federal Constituencies.

“We have placed our Federal Constituency on the global map. Now is the time for you to contribute your quota.

“Once again, I tender my apology to all my followers and supporters who took an offense against us following my movement from SDP to APC.

“We had to do that for the interest of all. Similarly, to those that got offended through any of my aides, please accept my apology.

“It’s time to move on. It’s time to chart a new course. The future is  very bright. Let’s stand together for a greater tomorrow is ahead of us. I love you all”.
