Suspected kidnappers have struck again, causing palpable tension in Ondo state as they have abducted no fewer than 25 choir members of the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Oke Igan, Akure ,the state capital.
Roving Reporters Online reliably gathered that the victims were kidnapped around 3pm on Friday while traveling to Ifon in Ose local government area for a burial ceremony of a parent of one of them.
A source inside the church told Roving Reporters Online that the vehicle conveying the kidnapped choir members was seen abandoned on roadside.
In a Reaction, Ondo PPRO, Funmi Odunlami said the police got an information that a church Bus with the Inscription CAC was abandoned around Elegbeka area and there were suspicions that the passengers in the vehicle were kidnapped.
“The Police Anti kidnapping squad and other tactical teams have been deployed to the area to rescue the victims and arrest all involved in the crime,” she said.
