A new vegetable oil company known as Pramot Vegetable oil has been inaugurated in Akure the ondo state capital with the aim of producing the commodity for the people of the state and exporting the product to other parts of the country.
The company located before FUTA North gate along Akure ilesa road has is equipped with modern equipment and professionals vast in the production of healthy vegetable oil for consumption.
Inaugurating the company on Saturday, the Catholic Bishop of Ondo Diocese, Jude Arogundade frowned at the way businesses are dying in Nigeria saying “the system that we run in this country is too corrupt”.
Bishop Arogundade, who expressed joy with the establishment, ‘Pramot Vegetable Oil‘ in Akure said, “Businesses don’t work in Nigeria anymore not because Nigeria doesn’t not know how to do business but because many Nigerians kill business.”
According to him, businesses are dying in Nigeria because there was no confidence in the system being run saying “the system that we run in Nigeria is too corrupt”.
He said, “many economic policies that are being operated in this country they are very good one that suppose to raise our country up but because it is being run by bad people. When you put bad people to run good policies they will destroy the policy.
“We need good people to build this nation, we must begin to love this country, we must have a good country that can be proud of.”
The cleric, while charging those that will be working at the Pramot Vegetable Oil company to join hands and support the aims and objectives of establishing the company said, “it is your duty with all fairness to build it up and make it bigger for a greater height.
“But when we begin to do things to bring it down, then you’re causing a lot of problem for yourself because there is no how you will bring someone down that you too will not go down.
“But if you bring it up and make it great, you too will be great and go up. So I want to encourage everyone of us to do this business in a way that will edify us, the owner, the state and Nigeria as a whole.
“This place, is not that the owner has all the money in this world, but he has started something for the good people of Ondo state and Nigeria as a whole because we will all benefit from it.
“I know that this is just a foundation, very soon, we want to see more of it in Akoko land.”
Mr. Tony Aburumaku, the Managing Director of the company while speaking on the aims and objectives of establishing the vegetable oil company in Akure said, “if the country will be better, all hands must be on deck.
“All has been put in place to ensure that we produce one of the best vegetable oil.”
Aburumaku said, “there is no need for our women to travel down to far places to get vegetable oil again but you should rather come down to Akure and we are going to sell cheaper.
“This is an opportunity for women that travel down to Lagos and other parts of the country to buy vegetable oil. There is no need for you again.
Mind you, there is no where in this Southwest region that you can find this new business company rather than in Akure, Ondo state.”
