
Early rain of the year on Tuesday, wrecked havoc in Ipogun community, in ifedore area of Ondo state, destroying many houses, churches and electric poles.

An eyewitness told ROVING REPORTERS that the rain which started in the evening lasted about two hours.
Some residents who spoke with our correspondent said that the heavy rain was the third rainfall in the community in the last four days and the heaviest in decades, coming with snows drops and winds.

According to them, the rain has destroyed their property worth several millions of naira but no life was lost.
They said many of the residents have been rendered homeless, calling on government to assist them.
