Five out of fifteen persons, Banji Alade, Gboyega Ariyo,olumide Johnson , femi isobo and Ahmed ikire who allegedly dehumanized a 24 year old man over domestic issue in Irun-Akoko Akoko have been arrested by the police.
The victim of the abuse, femi Ajayi was on Saturday 12th November accosted by fifteen hooligans who accused him of having an affair with wife of one of them.
Femi Ajayi, according to eyewitnesses was thoroughly beaten, stripped naked and paraded by the hoodlums .
The accused persons also recorded the ugly incident and posted it on various social media platforms.
All entreaties by elderly people fell on deaf ears as the victim was thereafter beaten to a coma before some sympathizers rescued him to a nearby health center.
The case which was promptly reported at the Irun-Akoko police divisional office was allegedly turned down as the officers on duty failed to respond due to the influence of the accused who claimed to be senior yahoo Boys noted for notoriety.
The video of femi ajayi which was posted on social media however caught the attention of human rights group which immediately alerted the ondo state police commissioner on the gory incident.
It was gathered that the police commissioner allegedly ordered the immediate arrest of the fifteen persons involved.
Only five of the accused have been arrested and taken to the police headquarters while other are still at large.
The news of the arrest has however brought relief to the town as residents claimed that the gang is noted for terrorizing the community.
