PDP Senatorial Aspirant, Adetokunbo preaches Peaceful coexistence as Ondo Muslims begin Ramadan
An aspirant for the Ondo North Senatorial District under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Akogun Adetokunbo Modupe has welcomed Muslim faithfuls in the district to the holy month of RAMADAN, a season of self-discipline, self-control, sacrifice, and empathy for the less-privileged.
In a message signed by the Head of Public Communication, TOKs4Senate’23, Wale Obanigba, Akogun enjoins them to use the opportunity to pray for unity, peace and progress of Nigeria especially at time of uncertainty, fear and economic downturn being currently witnessed by the people.
He said, “Nigeria presently needs the intervention of God to solve the mirage of challenges facing the country under the All Progressive Party.
“ I therefore enjoin you to use the period of this intense prayer to seek the face of God on behalf of the country, and the people of Ondo North Senatorial District in particular.
“Islam is a religion of peace that upholds the values of tolerance and mutual co-existence, without a place for hatred and violence. I therefore admonish peaceful co-existence amongst the residents of Ondo North Senatorial District and Ondo State.”
He assured them of quality representation when elected to represent them at the 10th National Assembly.
