Why I called Akeredolu on Phone over Excesses of Deji – LG Boss
The Chairman of Akure North Local Government Area, Mr Bankole Ogbesetore has said he had called Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of ondo state to caution Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi over his excesses and illegal trespass.
According to Ogbesetore, if Deji of Akure’s does not stop his illegal actions on other communities boundaries, it could lead to crisis and truncate the peace of the state.
The council boss was speaking with Roving Reporters Online while reacting to the purported removal of a traditional head, the Olu of Ilado Igbatoro, Chief Johnson Ajomole and subsequent appointment of Chief Ifedayo Joshua Afelumo as the traditional head of the community by the Deji of Akure.

Ogbesetore said: “He installed another person when the current Olu of Ilado has been on the throne for over 34 years and he is hail and hearty and he is in Akure North, so why would he go ahead to install another person ?
“When I heard that he had installed another person, I now called Mr Governor (Akeredolu) and reported to him about the development. He asked me to call the Deputy Governor, (Aiyedatiwa), I was also asked to call the Special Adviser to Ondo State Governor on Security Matters, Alhaji Jimoh Dojumo, and the Department of Security Service in Akure North. They all said I should go and do the needful.
“Deji of Akure wants to forment crisis and that is why he has been causing the crisis at all times.
“For instance, in Ita Ogbolu, ward 7, ode-igede, when the chief in the community died, the olugbolu of itaogbolu installed someone, surprisingly, Deji of Akure went again to install another person. That case is in court. So ,the Deji has been causing crisis in so many communities in Akure North and I told him that this is very unfair.
“There was a letter written by Mr. Governor sometimes ago that no traditional ruler should go to another person’s territory to do something of such. Deji of Akure had as copy of the letter and I told him that, but you have this letter with you sir ? and by and large , Akure South and Akure North case is in court that he called himself a Paramount ruler.
“I called the Deji. When I called him, I asked that Sir, why should you do this type of a thing ? How can you leave your domain and come to another person’s domain to install someone when nothing happened to the man occupying the position and he has not committed any crime in the community ?
“The Deji said the man is not loyal to him. I then asked that how can a chief in Akure North be loyal to a traditional ruler in Akure south ?
“As far as Akure North local government is concerned, I recognize Chief Johnson Ajomole as the only and authentic Olu of Ilado Community but this one that the Deji has installed, Mr Falumo or what did they call him? is not recognized.
“What Deji of Akure did is illegal and amount to trespass and stealing.”
